Nice collection! I’ve never imagine that size gap between migs and sukhoi!

Yes, interesting juxtaposition.

Yes, I was surprised too to see MiG-29 look like a little toy next to Sukhoi. I was planning to start with 1/48 F-16 next, but after seeing the size difference between MiG and Su-27 I ordered 1/72 F-16 to compare with F-14 I’ve already built.
Thank you guys, just a little correction; Su-27UB was Trumpeter kit, MiG’s are Zvezda.

Very interesting display, Boris, those Russian jets look great.

Outstanding! How did you do that great missile launch?
It’s a PU foam. I stuck a missile on to a wire and applied PU foam. It forms great smoke trail when dried out + white and grey paint and there’s the result.

Great looking collection! Nicely done, all of them.

Cool collection… I agree with your choice of the 1/72 scale.
There is something intriguing in the design of Russian jets that makes them unmistakably “Russian” and very appealing for the modeller! This was especially true for the airplanes of the cold war era but it is still true with the 3rd and the 4th generation of jet fighters.
Waiting to see how are you going to expand your RuAF collection… which one is the next?

Thanks Peter, I’ve imagined my collection as confrontation of eastern and western counterparts. It will be Mig-29, MiG-23, MiG-31 and Su-27 vs. F-14, F-15, F-16 and F-18, Su-24 vs. F-111, Su-25 vs. A-10, Mig-15 vs. Sabre etc.
F-16’s in 1/72 and 1/48 scale are next on menu.

Nice idea – I have also planned a similar confrontation!
Right now I have a F-106 vs. Su-9 “slowly in progress” on the bench (both are single-engine pure interceptors with delta wings!).
Have a good time with the beautiful F-16!

thx. I have an idea how to make afterburner effect on F-16, can’t wait to post if it turns out well 🙂
