1/48 Tamiya P-47D Passionate Patsy 310th FS, 58th FG, Saidor New Guinea 1944

March 11, 2018 · in Aviation · · 13 · 4K

One of my personal favourites, and a splash of colour for good measure!
Added the Ultracast seat and wheels, decals from the excellent Thundercals range by Norris Graser.
My next razorback is actually a sister , being "The Pied Piper" from Superscale Decals in similiar markings (see attached).

Happy Modelling
Darren

  1. Darren, she's an absolute beauty. No, not the nose art, the actual airplane. I really love everything about this build - it's a T-Bolt, it's got color, it's beautifully built and finished. Looks 'real'. Your ever so slight obsession with Jugs is completely understandable as every one of them looks amazing.

  2. Stunning again - and I haven't commented on your photography yet! Really very impressive too!

  3. Yep, another lovely looking jug.

  4. Nice work, Darren. Like the previous posts as well.

  5. Really nice work, Darren. I’ve enjoyed all of your posts. Especially the P-47s.

  6. Ah...[one] of my favorite radial decibel makers - the venerable Jug - from Republic's very own "iron works" in Bethpage, L.I. (and this one's a "keeper" for sure)!

  7. That is a kick a*s JUG! One of the better ones that I have come across. You are the master with the P-47s. Love them. Really good looking color scheme!

  8. Superb job with this P-47 Darren

  9. This Jug looks as good as the other. Great builds.

  10. STUNNING in every which way you look at this Juggernaut. Well done!

  11. Just another day at the Dickerson Thud factory! Love it - you really go out of your way to find attractive schemes - no exception here!

  12. I can see why this is a favorite! Lovely Jug, Darren!
