WIP: Eduard 1/48 Fw 190D-9, Klaus Faber's “Rot 13”, JV44 Platzshutzstaffel. Using EagleCals#14 for markings but decided to paint the stripes instead of using the provided white stripe decals. Red tends to bleed through white decals and by then it would be too late to fix if they didn't work. Plus, I like painting. It looks a bit bright but should tone down after washes and weathering. Hi Tom. I am a nut about JG44. I have a 1/32 Schwalbe that I plan on building soon (ish) and adding to my 'Red1' that I posted last year. I've put a link below, mainly because there are some great suggestions regarding suggested reading, especially around Galland.
