April 23, 2018 · in Ships · · 17 · 2.4K
  • "ORP Sokół (: Falcon) was a U-class (formerly HMS Urchin) built by Vickers-Armstrong at Barrow-in-Furness. Shortly after launching in September 1940 she was to be commissioned by the Royal Navy as HMS Urchin, but instead was leased to the Polish Navy due to a lack of experienced submarine crews.[citation needed] A sister boat to Dzik, both boats operated in the Mediterranean from Malta, where they became known as the 'Terrible Twins'." • scale Mirage kit contains PE and resin upgrades. Only resin part is nose. And it does not fit well. So it needs alot of filling and sanding.

  • I scratchbuilt ladders, gun barrel, weld marks, exhaust covers etc.

  1. Turned out nicely, sir...I like it.

  2. Excellent detail work, looks great !

  3. Excellent job on the sanding and scratch building, Cetin. And the very first time I've seen 'citation needed' used in IModeler! Good to see some academic rigour at work.
Well done on a lovely sub.

  4. Nice work on this. Great detail.

  5. Wow, that's tiny and undoubtedly wouldn't look this good without all your extra effort in detailing. Congrats on a great model.

  6. Thank you for your kind words friends. I'm trying to do my best. =)

  7. Impressive finish on a small sub!

  8. Hats off Çetin! This is the best rendition of ORP Sokół made from Mirage kit I have seen so far. Brilliant job with the weld lines on the hull as well as with the steps on the kiosque. I also like the weathering. Do you have more pics of the finished model?
