Hawker Sea Hawk Mk. 101 Hobby Boss 87252 in 1/72 scale

July 3, 2018 · in Aviation · · 16 · 3.2K

Hello,
this time I have a little jet from the 50s for you. Mk. 101, RB+259 from the "Marineflieger" of West-Germany 1957/58.
the 2nd plane as shown on one picture ist the very old Airfix version of this kit.

Originally, this aircraft served in the British Royal Navy on aircraft carriers. The German version, however, was only used on land, as Germany has no aircraft carrier. In the early 60s, this little bird was replaced by the F-104 Starfighter.

Thanks for your Interest!

  1. Nice work, Andreas! Very clean. I like the Sea Hawk and you don’t see them built often.

  2. Good work on all [three] kits shown here Andreas, photo composition is well done also.

  3. Love it, great jets and vehicle! Overall presentation is really nice. Nice and unique, something different. The Volks Van is so cool.

  4. Thank you, happy that you like the Seahawk. The Volkswagen "bully" however is a little bit to small in scale (1/87 instead of 1/72) on some pictures the Seahawk looks like a Vulcan Bomber in size (compared to the Volkswagen).

  5. Great looking “fade” to the paint work and the markings are very nice, too.

  6. Wow great! It's very small scale but very realistic! I love it!

  7. Nice build! Both aircraft look great.

  8. Very nice! That's a pleasing scheme on the Sea Hawk, and both of them look great.

  9. Very nice work, eye-catching presentation and stellar job on the models themselves. I could look at this work all day. Kudos!

  10. Hard to believe this is 1/72. Excellent work and a great result.

  11. Nicely done Andreas, looks good, well presented.

  12. Andreas, Very nice, The paint work is very nice, especially the paint fade of the upper surface. Well done !

  13. Thank you guys! Happy that you like it.

  14. I like it! The Seahawk was sort of a bright spot in a line of disappointing British carrier based jets.

  15. Thank you for your nice comments, to all of you...

  16. As others have said this is wonderful work in such small scale. Fantastically original presentation also with a terrific backdrop that really looks like natural sky. Bravo, Andreas!
