I have been building modelings almost continuously since the time I was 8 or 9 years old. I'm not sure exactly what it was the prompted me to get into the hobby but as an American growing up in Japan I think I was probably influenced by all the fascinating models & buildings I observed while watching the Ultra Man TV Series. For me, the biggest part about this great hobby is that it gives me ample room to exercise my imagination. I am not the kind of modeler who prefers "super historical accurate" models but more the kind who enjoys the "What-If" genre of modeling. Having said that though, I do enjoy just about every subject area of plastic modeling - the one exception would probably be vinyl horror figures. I usually tend to choose my projects based on their "artistic" uniqueness - i.e. for me that means, "how interesting/unique" is the paint scheme! Most importantly for me though is the doing what I need to do to help maintain the spirit "good 'ole modeling fun" and not getting caught up in hype or what I would consider less than productive interactions over the hobby. I totally respect each and every modelers uniqueness and simply ask the same courtesy be returned in kind.
