Ragnars’ rath, Viking long boat

by Robert Royes on May 3, 2016 in Ships -- 8 Comments

This is Revell’s 1/50 Viking long boat . I was inspired by the History channel tv show , all I need is a crew and we’re off to Vineland aaarrgh! Straight foreward build, hated the rigging, The little knots were […]

1:350 IJN YAMATO (work in progress)

by Tony Anderton on April 15, 2016 in Ships -- 3 Comments

Again, built OOB with some additional PE railings, I hated doing these, so doubtful i’ll add them to future builds! Lower hull is “Red Oxide” primer, upper hull and super structure is Grey primer (as i did to all my […]

1:350th Academy BISMARCK

by Tony Anderton on April 14, 2016 in Ships -- 7 Comments

Built straight from the box, using grey and red oxide “rattlecans” and brushes. Searchlights were enhanced using some crafters “crystal embelishments”…happy with the result considering i’ve been away from modelling for about 20 years.

Russian T5 torpedo boat

by Steven Davis on March 30, 2016 in Ships -- 14 Comments

This is the Merit 1/35 scale kit. It’s been quite awhile since I posted anything or finished anything but here we go. The kit was a very nice build, no flash or ejector pin marks tha show up. The hull […]

Zhengdefu Missle Boat Type 021

by Joe Caputo on March 24, 2016 in Ships -- 11 Comments

First off, the scale is undetermined by me. It’s not the advertised 1/72 but closer to 1/125-1/150th, perhaps 1/144th. It measures around 13″ in length. The instructions leave a lot to be desired as the whole kit is built in […]

by Ian Bartlett on February 29, 2016 in Ships -- 11 Comments

Hi Everyone, Having now got to grips with all my pictures on my laptop, I thought I would share this recently built model with you all. This is a really nice kit, very simple, but very detailed, and is built […]

U.S.S. Indianapolis “1944”

by Ralph Clements on February 15, 2016 in Ships -- 16 Comments

Here’s my rendition of the famous U.S.S. Indianapolis. It is the Trumpeter 1/350 scale 1944 version. It is mostly out of the box, with a Eduard railing set, made for the Academy kit, so it took some adjusting to make […]

Revell 1/72 Type VII U Boat

by Ian Bartlett on February 10, 2016 in Ships -- 14 Comments

Hello everyone, Here is my first completion for 2016. It was built as a commission for a friend at work. You may recall a previous build I posted of another submarine I built, also for said same friend. A couple […]

Trumpeter 1/350 USS Indenpedence LCS-2

by Goran Perger on January 10, 2016 in Ships -- 5 Comments

My last of model of 2015. 🙂 It could be better, especially painting part, but I am satisfied. This is my first work with PE parts 🙂 Feel free to comment, good or bad. Thank you.

1/700 USS Maryland BB-46

by John Healy on November 9, 2015 in Ships -- 12 Comments

This is the recent Trumpeter kit, which was apparently developed by Pit-Road in Japan. I love ships and ship models, but being PE challenged, they usually don’t love me. This is the first one that I feel that I’ve finished […]
