I recently read a model build article where seam lines were filled by melting plastic sprue with Tamiya thin cement. What are mechanics/procedures for doing this. What are the advantages of this procedure over filler and CA seam line filling?

Hi David, i use stretched sprues and thin cement too to fill lines, some putty shrinks, after while, it could happen, that the seam becomes visible again. If you use super glue with putty and it works for you it s o.K, i use this compination as well.
The "plastic method" was used by me to fill the few seams on a Eduard 190 and that works perfect, just try it out
