After a major system upgrade earlier this year, work with improving the iModeler system goes on continuously. I'd like to get back to the habit of announcing these improvements in the Help & Support forum.

Here's a roundup of of our recent updates & fixes.

    • New signup experience. This has been launched already last month and for natural reasons does not affect existing users, although it makes it infinitely simpler for new users to register.

    • In user profiles, your bio ("about me") is now included at the front page of your profile. We think this gives your profile even more personality, and actually makes browsing the member roster an even more useful experience. Naturally, you can always change your profile by visiting MY STUFF, then using the "EDIT PROFILE" button.
Example of the new profile format: http://imodeler.com/members/raikisan/

    • Embedding pictures in text using [pic] tags. We are now supporting embedding pictures 1..100 rather than 1..50 as before.
Read more about arranging images & text: http://imodeler.com/help/arranging-the-images-within-text/

    • In group forums, sticky posts will now be clearly labelled as "Featured". This follows the same practice as "Featured" articles at the front page.

    • Improved profanity filter. Profanity filter is an automated module that stars out swear words and potentially offensive terms, rendering them like this: "Oh s**t". Reviewed, updated with new word list and after a short hiatus, re-activated for forums and private messages. Happiness to all...

    • Group cover images. Today I have also reviewed the frequently used groups and updated some cover images for that added visual touch. Hope you'll like them!
(If you are a group admin, you can always set a cover image in the GROUP ADMIN tab.)

That's all for this round, happy modelling!

Thanks for the update(s), Martin. Matter of fact, I just now amended my bio page (I hadn't thought about it until you mentioned it).
