F4U-1 Corsair No. 1. Getting close. really close.

    Hi Everybody,

    The Corsair is close to being done. Right now i'm bogged down with the new tailwheel and the main landing gear. Here are the latest pics. Don't worry, the blue gray is a lot more "Blue" than it appears in these shots...

    FWIW, Xtradecal makes a decal sheet with Colored stripes in various dimensions which may come handy in situations like this.

    I love that color scheme. I can't wait to see it done. I would really tear into it weathering it up good. Are you planning to keep it clean, or make it look war torn?

    Walt, the intent is to depict the plane not long after it began test flights; some exhaust streaks on the belly, miscellaneous rubber shoe marks and hand prints, but no scratches, no fading. Almost brand new condition.
