Well! I shouldn't but I will. For the first time ever I'll try to re-scribe the panel lines in a very old Heller kit.
Let's see what might happens!
Cheers
Good Luck!
Looking forward to seeing what you can do with this!
Interesting to see what you come up with. Still got a soft spot for these older Heller kits.
Thanks guys. The kit is not bad despite the raised panel lines. If I can correct it properly will be a good model.
I have started it, but I'm not sure how exactly this group works. Should I create an article with WIP or should I post photos here as I go?
Hi Paulo, just keep adding pic's and comments here as your build progresses.
Righto!
Let's get this ball rolling, shall we?
I have started by the wings, first photo is the original raised panel lines:
And here is my first attempt on scribing panel lines:
I also corrected or included missing panel lines.
So, what do you guys reckon?

You are braver than me! It's coming along nicely.
Shaping up well!
Getting underway very well.
Your rescribing improves the kit, IMHO. It's a nice. basic kit, lends itself to improvement. I have one someplace in the aeropile.
Thanks all!
Looking the photo I've noticed some places I'll need to fix due line going over or some scratches. Back to it! Cheers
Ditto on the brave, rescribing is way out of my zone
A little bit more work on the starboard upper wing
I don't know how I missed this one... Sorry. I have been very busy with other things and have been slacking somewhat with this group build.
I will be looking forward to seeing your updates. Thanks for starting the build log.
Just as Allan stated, simply post up some in progress pictures along with a short description (or longer if you wish) and this is how the Group builds work. You can also try looking around at some of the other builds listed here and see how others have done it. They may give you some ideas as well.
Take care, and welcome to our Year of the Cat Group Build.
