1/32 Hasegawa Messerschmitt Bf-109 F-4 trop

January 24, 2013 · in Aviation · · 5 · 5.1K

Here is my last brick to the Wall of "109s attack". This is Messerschmitt Bf-109F-4 trop finished with the markings of Yellow 14 ( W Nr.8673) from 3./JG27 flown by Hans Joachim Marseille . This machine (W Nr.8673) is the last Marseille's Bf-109 F-4 when he achieved his 151st victory in September 1942.
Most of the cockpit parts are new tooling. The early F seat design is tedious with two parts assembly line. Why? ( Mother did it need to be so tricky?) It needs to eliminate the join seam of the seat by using putty bountifully.
The cockpit is modified by seat belts and MDC (Model Design Constructions) Luftwaffe Instruments Decals.
Other modifications are :
-AIRES Messerschmitt Bf 109F wheels bay
-AIRES Messerschmitt Bf 109F main wheels
-Master details (#32021) Messerschmitt Bf-109 Horizontal Tail Surfaces
-MDC Bf-109 tropical filter
The painting was done with Gunze Sangyo acrylics.
Decals are from EagleCals EC131 decal set.

Happy Modelling

  1. Really nice one, Tolga. I'm a believer this new Bf-109F kit is the best 109 kit out there from Hasegawa.

  2. Excellent work, I love the desert schemes, and your weathering looks very realistic to me.

  3. We are getting close to Gruppe strength 😀
Excellent model as usual from you. Looking at you photos makes me reflect that model a/c often look at their best from the underside...

  4. Really beautiful job on my favorite '109.
