Trumpeter’s 1/48 Supermarine Seafang
This is Trumpy’s 1/48 Seafang. It’s an excellent kit, with no problems in assembly at all. I posted a full build report on my site: http://goo.gl/WO14N
Thanks for looking!

Seafang in Suez campaign… that’s a what-if, isn’t it? Looks very business-like though, it would be a fitting companion to the Wyvern.
Very good-looking model, thanks for sharing.

Yes, it is a what-if. I thought the Suez striping looked really cool. It also comes with markings from one of the test birds, and a Spanish “what-if”.

Good looking model, but I have to say that the Spiteful/Seafang is to the rest of the Spitfire series what “Rocky V” was to that series – one waaaaaaay to far gone. It’s like everything cool about the Spitfire got lost. Don’t get me wrong though, this is a really nice model.

Thanks Tom. Yeah, it’s in the family, but at family reunions conversation is kinda awkward and nobody likes their casserole. 🙂
I think, in a way, it appeals to me *because* of that. It’s sort of the Charlie Brown Christmas Tree in the Spitfire lineage. (Kinda like the Type 224!)
I am glad they gave it a new name!
