1/35 Tamiya M10 Tank Destroyer
I had alot of fun with this one! The reddish mud is a little stark, but I always liked the sharp contrast. I tried a lttle color modulation on this one, It turned out okay. All you plane guys hatin' me yet?

Not at all...I went through my "armor period" before moving to FL back in '85. I had well over fifty armor kits I gave away to a fellow modeler. It simply wasn't feasible to try to move 'em all 1500 miles. Personally, I'd rank armor as my 2nd favorite kits after aircraft. It used to be cars, but that got old. I've tried my hand at a couple ships lately, and they've been a welcome (but unfamiliar) break for me. Figures? Forget it. I can't even paint pilots that are believable, regardless of scale.
I like the application of the mud and the build is solid. Although,some of painting approaches the "Spanish" school of painting which, for some folks is just fine. (Looking at the top of turret and the glacis plate) Personally, from looking at the photo's and its limitations...I'd add a fine layer of dust. Perhaps mist of grey paint applied with a the airbrush or you could use powders or pastels to tie everything together.That's a niggle and the model could easily put into a diorama to give it more interest. The neat things about models is that they don't have to be static and you can develop them and improve them all of the time. Or in my case I get burn out with a subject or its time to move on. How about adding a photo of the destroyer facing(drivers compartment on the right) left to right too. I'm giving it a nine for now.
Thanks Stephen, I have actually just finished adding some different colors to the mud and a dust cote, I'll snap some pics and add them to the post. Btw I've been considering doin' my first diorama.
