iModeler May Awards

June 4, 2013 · in Uncategorized · · 13 · 1.6K

Another month has passed and one can almost sense the anticipation pending the announcement of our mothly winners. So without further ado: here they are, carefully selected among the 145 articles added during the month.

iModeler Best in Show - May 2013

Maxim Bylkin's ( @siskin ) modeling has been noted here before. This time, his Fokker E.III has topped the jury's list of oohs and ahhhs. This model has a well-balanced sense realism about it and much finesse, despite the fact that it has been completed in only 12 days. We're impressed. The May Best in Show goes to Russia!

But wait, there is more! - the Random Award

We are also awarding a prize as a token of appreciation to all our contributors. This is selected through an entirely random draw among all the entries of the month. This time, our lucky winner is Gregor de Ste Croix for sharing his Gulf War Buccaneer. A big thank you for contributing!

Well done Maxim a worthy winner. This is the first modelling prize i've won since 1975! and spookily enough i won a Spitfire then as well! This karma thing is really working eh? 🙂

  8. My congratulations to the winners and thanks for the excellent models colleagues! As for the prize, this model was going to buy, but here such a pleasant surprise! Thank you!

  9. Maxim: there are a lot of folks here who work to a consistently high quality, but in a crowded field like that your consistent work consistently stands out from the crowd. Congratulations. 12 days eh? You must be self (un)employed. 🙂

All the others are models that impressed me when I saw them, and the awards are well-deserved.

  10. Very well deserved! Congratulations Maxim!

  11. Kudos to you Maxim-your talent and eye for detail are inspiring to all! I love that an "old school" subject was voted best in show… Max Immelmann strikes again!
