ICM 1/72 Tupolev SB- High-speed bomber

October 16, 2013 · in Aviation · · 13 · 3.3K

Greetings to all of its fresh model, it is the next fastest build out of the box))). This time, it's high-speed bomber Tupolev / Archangel, SB. Have proved effective in the war in Spain, the aircraft is out of date by 1941, and could not fight on equal terms with German aircraft.
Model firm is not new, made at a very high level, but suffers from poor collection rate. It was built out of the box, as I said, the standard color for the summer of 1941. Everyone enjoy, I hope, see!

  1. Don't recall ever seeing a build of this particular aircraft...matter of fact, I don't think I've ever heard of it before. Nice lookin' build, though.

  2. It really is a shame that WWII Soviet fighters & bombers are so poorly represented in this hobby. Yeah, there are some good kits of the I-16, La-5, La-7, and some early Yaks, but I would really like to see one (or more) of the major manufacturers start pumping out some state of the art 1/48 & 1/32 Soviet aircraft of WWII. But, of course, we will probably get another 109, P-51, or Cosair. Nice job Maxim.

  3. Oh yes, I agree with you, the theme of the Soviet Air Force disclosed is not well in the models. But there is a change in recent years, there are models in the 48th level (Zvezda La-5, Yak-3, SU-2, is expected to La-7, from Trumpeter TU-2, with Silver Wings out I-153 at 32nd ), so that's not so bad)))

  4. Nice work Maxim ! It's nice to see a great Russian aircraft. They are so often overlooked. Thanks for sharing !

  5. Wow, I did not even know a kit was available of this aircraft. In his book Samurai, Saburo Sakai describes intercepting some of these aircraft when they were flown by the Nationalist Chinese airforce.

  6. Maxim,
Great job on this. I like the way you painted it and have displayed it. Very nice.

  7. Terrific job, Maxim. A pleasure to see something a little different.

  8. Thank you for your comments, colleagues!
The next plane will be more familiar to you, it's one of the U.S. Р-...

p.s. - prize Spitfire is still in the box, going with the spirit, because you do not want to spoil such a good model)))

  9. Very nice work - sure do wish someone would do this important airplane (the first "modern" bomber to see operational service) in 1/48.

  10. Very nicely done Maxim!

  11. Nice work, Maxim, we would never know this is only 1/72!

  12. Very nice, Maxim. It is nice to see planes displayed "in flight" with gear up. Much better to see the shape and flow of the plane in its natural environment. Wonderful paint job as well.
