Monogram 1/48 Cessna A-37 Dragonfly
With the help of aftermarket decals, this was built as an OA-37, as pictured on the back cover of the A-37/T-37 Dragonfly in Action. These replaced the OV-10 in the FAC role with the 19th TASS, based at Osan AB, South Korea,.
The kit was copyrighted 1992, and I think was one their nicest productions. I’ve done two, and have one more in the stash. It comes with a ton of stores, and a lot of detail. There are two decal options with the kit, but you may find aftermarket sets still available.
The A-37 went together fairly easy, with little filling. It sits very low, but still needs weight. With a little effort it turns out to be a nice addition to any collection.

Joe,
This looks great. I like the full compliment of goodies under the wings. It’s amazing how much this little roller skate could carry. I have a friend that flew these but I’m not exactly sure in what roll.

I really like your Tweetie Bird…..To me it’s one on the cooler aircraft from the Viet Nam era. Kind of like an A-10 before steroids. Nice build.

Great job Joe ! I remember the first time I heard one flying with that shrill “dog whistle” engine noise. The monogram kit is nice and a large selection of stores can,t go wrong with that. Tom

Fine job as usual Joe. The stores are a nice touch as others have mentioned. I was just thinking yesterday, while looking at two stalled builds in my study, that it’s usually the ordnance and drop tanks that slow me down. (well, that and the damned canopies,:)) Your bird looks great fully fitted!

Nice build againJoe, with crew this time as well.
With a full load out, it looks impressive.
Time taken on building and decallind the stores is something we forget a lot of the time.

It’s certainly fully loaded, Joe, and looks great on your (new?) base. and a crew as well – what more could we ask for.

Joe, I’m so glad you finished this model — it’s one of your best!
Except for your OV-10 series of course . . .
