1/32 Zoukei-Mura P-51
This isn't one of my best efforts to date. I fount that this kit id surely meant to be displayed guts showing. I had nothing but fit issues through out the entire build. I think the next Mustang I'll build will be the Tamiya. I can't really blame the kit entirely because most of the bad construction and painting is my inattention to details. That happened because I did become frustrated with it.
I chose the livery because you hardly see any one post anything from the 79th. I think this is quite a striking scheme. You see Sneebo on the front because Lt D.S. Sass was a former cavalry officer. I don't know if he ever got any victories but at this point it's sort of moot.
Well, Guns, despite the trouble you say you experienced with the kit it certainly looks nice from where I sit. I applaud your choice of subjects, too. The 20th FG (along with the 55th and a few others) are a largely unsung organisation. Sharp markings and nice toned-down NMF!

Some kits can be like that, but you persevered and ended up with smart looking Mustang, pat yourself on the back sir.

As Eric said, any problem area(s) is well hidden. Looks like an outstanding example from what I can see. MY Z-M Skyraider had no such fit issues, but I agree in your assessment. I have done either as yet, but I, too, will opt for the Tamiya offering. Nice work, my friend.

This looks absolutely great to me. Whatever problems you had with it sure does't show. I really like the finished product. Like Craig said I have not had any fit problems with my Z-M Skyraider. SO FAR. Just too many attempts by the company to try to make everything work.
We are always our own worst critic, because we see all the parts and bits we missed or that we wish had turned out differently, but unless you point them out, most people will never notice those things that make us cringe but instead will just be floored by an overall outstanding work of art! For what its worth, it looks like an excellent diorama to me sir! Thanks for sharing!

it looks really good..you did a fine job...the ZM kits are just too complicated...too many pieces and way over priced...the tamiya shares both those qualities also...just give me an old hasegawa...i mean all those fancy parts and all you wind up with is a wing a tail and a fuselage...it's only a model...modellers worry too much about peer pressure and details only they know about...who cares if the wheel wells are too shallow or the wing isn't laminar flow when they charge you 8 times the price...the magic isn't in the kit...it's in the builder

Despite all the setbacks that you seem to have encountered your work is very good.
I agree with you that the assemblies of the Tamiya kit are much more accurate. It is a joy for me right now with the construction of this model, but I think we still have that Tamiya unnecessarily complicated this model with all those little metal joints. The set is beautiful and very exitant to climb but useless once the model is complete on his diorama.
In any case, we present you a very good job. bravo
