Push me pull me Do 335

April 25, 2015 · in Aviation · · 14 · 1.7K

Hi Guys, i know its been a while since i last posted anything on iModeler but stuff kinda got in the way! any way heres my latest effort its the kit which is basic to say the least but still a good model i did some playing around with my Rosie The Riveter and got slightly carried away i did the reverting quite gently as i didn't want that machine gunned look some 72 scale models have when the rivets are heavily pressed in to the plastic i didn't want the rivets to be instantly noticeable they arn't that visible on the real aircraft until you are close up so gently gently was the way forward when done and sanded down i thought i had just wasted a few hours as i was sure the first coat of paint would just fill in the rivets.

So when it came to the painting and weathering which is my favourite part i used very very highly thinned down paint, my paint of choice at the moment is Gunze Sangyo really thinning the paint down made a huge difference in keeping all the surface detail in tact, any way guys hope you like it

Thanks

Mark

    • Hi Neil, And thanks mate, this is one of those quick Hobby Boss builds they are great the thing is pretty much built when you get it they are designed to snap together i think but anyway with a bit of work they look pretty good and they are quick to assemble pretty much built it in one night and spent a couple of evenings riveting away and then another two sessions with the airbrush and its done had a few nights away from it so all in all done and dusted in just under two weeks so quite quick and very enjoyable.

See you at the next show Neil

      Cheers Mate
