iModeler April Awards
Time to announce a new round of iModeler Awards. Familiar to all our registered members, the ongoing iModeler contest is designed to promote great content and modeling stories on the web. To that end, all Headline entries at this site are automatically considered in our monthly roundup.
We’re awarding the Best in Show title to the entry that wins the jury’s award, plus one Random Award as a token of appreciation to all our contributors. We also list runner-ups as Honorable Mentions because we usually find many great submissions that deserve recognition.
iModeler Best in Show – April 2015
The jury’s vote goes to Gábor Szabó’s excellent scratchbuilt Latecoere 28.3H in 1:72 scale. The “real modeling” skill and effort that went to this model has been difficult to miss… Better still, the builder also opted to share a selection of construction photos, explaining the process and giving valuable insight into his techniques. It is a kind of article that we really loved to read!
Gábor’s other creations – all of which have been attracting many comments – can be admired at his iModeler blog.
And so the iModeler award goes to Hungary…
But wait, there is more…
We are also awarding a prize as a token of appreciation to all our contributors. This is selected through an entirely random draw among all the entries of the month. This time, our lucky winner is Steve E with 1/48 Strombecker X-1B Restoration. Thank you for bringing this variety of old and new modeling to iModeler!
