Revell 1/32 Junkers Ju88 A-1
HI all,
Been a while since I uploaded something onto Imodeler, had a lot happen in the past month in which I apologise if folk have been wondering where I've got to.
Anyway about the kit
I brought the kit back in 2013 at ScaleModelWorld for a massive bargain of Β£20, it was left at the bottom of my stash for a while, until during 2014 I started with the cockpit, then I had a problem with the fuselage half's and didn't line up and was once again put back in the stash.
It wasn't until recently a Battle of Britain Group Build was taking place on YouTube, in which I entered it in as I had just built a BF109 I didn't want to built another one, and it was the only Battle of Britain period aircraft I had, I brought it back out.
The kit is built entirely out-of-box, I was thinking about seat belts but with all that detail, it looked too crowded, the hardest parts of the kit was the landing flaps and gear doors as they didn't want to stick. The camo was painted with Revell aqua colours of 39, 40 and 65
Good to see an update from you, Mike. This looks like a stellar effort. Onder how did you get the decals onto the dive brakes? Or are they painted
The decals were placed on with Humbrol Decalfix which I use a lot. I left the dive brakes last, once the model was painted and decalled itself, I painted the brakes and then the decals. I had to cut with a scalpel the gaps to give it a good effect π
Nice - that's got to take up some space in that scale! Glad you got her finished.
Thanks Greg. Yes she indead has taken up a lot of space. I've had to move a lot around to display her on my display shelves, at the moment shes sat on the dining room table in case any visitors come round π
I like the build, Michael...looks like a something I'd choose to suspend from the ceiling, though. π

Thanks Bernard! Yes I'm still doing the A levels and really hard work now. But to be honest I don't agree with suspending from the ceiling as I like my models on display π
