1/16 Scale ENTEX 1912 Henderson

November 8, 2015 · in Automotive · · 14 · 2.1K

Here's my build of the scale 1912 Henderson. This was a great build with a few minor issues with brittle plastic. However, all in all, a very fine looking completed model. I tried to shoot numerous detail shots of this build and I hope you find them both interesting and informative. If you have any questions please feel free to ask. I am a firm believer that the ONLY stupid question is the one that's never asked...

  1. Now that right there is some stunning work, my friend. A most outstanding build, sir. I'm impressed by the level of detail AND craftsmanship. NICE!

    • Thanks for the compliment. I try to strive for accuracy when building bikes. There's multiple hours of looking up info and checking out photos to get as close as I can to the real deal...

  2. A very unusual subject, and an interesting build.

    • Very unusual. There was some decent information available on the Henderson but the decent photos I could find were all restored and polished up bikes. I know that they weren't THAT "shiny" coming out of the factory in 1912...

  3. Fine work Harry, I can remember seeing one of these in an old Bike mag years ago.
    Some great detailing done.
    Welcome to this site mate.

  4. that's a beauty

  5. Harry, that's what my Drill Sergeant told me in Basic, about "dumb" questions. Great advice.
Great work on this, first one I've ever seen built.
Entex did some different subjects. I haven't seen one of theirs for a while, either.
    Welcome!

    • I was born and raised a U.S. Navy Brat. I heard that almost from the time I could speak. Must be a Military thing because I usually get a dumbfounded look whenever I mention it.

      • how about...permission to come aboard sir/permission granted...sqaure yourself in the hatch clown...get those shoulders back...no liberty till morale improves...you need to use the head

  6. Harry, civilians are usually dumbfounded. You can never tell their rank, and they wear all them funny looking, wierd uniforms.
Nice billets, though. And no floor buffers. or 40 consumptive roommates. Or being awaken gently at o dark 30 by a sadist with a whistle, making disparaging comments about you and your companions.
Smoke 'em if you got 'im.

  7. Neat modelling of an unusual subject, Harry, I'm more a fan of modern machines but this one looks very impressive.
