Hot off the bench.... a 2015 build!

December 31, 2015 · in Aviation · · 10 · 1.9K

Here is the Me 262A-1a. Very good little kit, but I couldn't resist adding a bunch of
P-E from the Brengun set for the B model. My eyes have ordered me back to 1/48!

Happy New Year to All!

  1. Nicely done, Stan...a replacement engine nacelle for the port engine? lol 🙂

  2. Yikes! Was that mottling done with a certain Harder and Steenbeck? This one is NATS bound I assume.

  3. nice work, in any scale Stan

  4. Nicely done Stan, love your work

  5. 🙂 ... Greetings ... 🙂 :
Great work on that mottling effect Stan.

  6. wow - if that's a penny, that must be 1/144 scale, right? Amazing finish!

  7. Thanks to all for your kind comments! Front section of port nacelle was a replacement part on the prototype (Kommando Nowotny circa 9/1944). Scale is 1/144 and the dropped flaps & slats are old school plastic butchery- cut out from kit wings, slats built from stretched sprue and .005 plastic card, and flaps cut from left over 1/48 Fokker E-V trailing edges. Cockpit tub/wheel wells detailed with strips of .005 plastic & stretched sprue.

  8. Incredible modelling, Stan, really good looking 262.

  9. Good work on this micro model. I have not seen very many in this scale done this well.

  10. Sweet build nice all around detailing
