Three P-51 Mustangs. 1/72 Tamiya, 1/72 Monogram, and 1/48 Pegasus
The first three pictures are of the Tamiya 1/72 P-51D with Canadian markings, the next three are the old Monogram 1/72 P-51B with Australian markings, and lastly is the Pegasus 1/48 snap-fit kit, also with Aussie markings. The Tamiya kit is finished in Al-Clad II Polished Aluminum, and I forget whose markings I used. The Monogram P-51B is finished in MM Enamels, and again I forget whose markings I used. The Pegasus kit is finished the same way as the Monogram kit, but I did use glue, instead of relying on the snap-fit only. These where all built as part of an in club OOB build contest, following the official IPMS rules.

George, the Canadian one looks like Leading Edge decals. They have two sheets of Canadian postwar Mustangs, in multiple scales. Eastern and Western Canada based units. Beautiful work on all 3 aircraft.
The Pegasus 48th looks better than I would have expected.

Great looking team of Mustangs. I like the non-US markings you selected - I may have to build an RAF or RAAF version of the B as well just to give my collection some variety!
The Pegasus kits are better than they have any right to be. Small parts like aileron balance weights and pitots aside, they have good and generally accurate outlines and surface details, some have good interiors, and all have decent markings that highlight hero pilots. I had them all, gave them all away for a dad-son to build, then bought them again for those do-something-different-quick-and-dirty days that came 'round more often in this year of covid isolation.
George, all of your builds are first-rate, but I appreciate the love you gave that Pegasus P-51B. Your photos show the strengths of the kit. I hope Pegasus has done well with this series, as these kits are a great way to get into serious modeling.
