1/48 Airfix Seafire F.XVII

June 4, 2016 · in Aviation · · 14 · 2.3K

Have been working on this kit off and on for the past year. has really upped its game recently. Only thing I think they could improve on this kit would be the main landing gear. The wing attachment points strike me as a little weak. That said I totally enjoyed this kit and am glad to finally have a Seafire in the Royal Navy collection.Markings are for a/c serial# SX156, 767 Sq., Deck Landing Control Officer Training Unit, RNAS , Yeovilton, 1950. Aero master and kit decals, and Mr Color paint.

  1. "Weak points" aside, it certainly turned out looking great...well worth the wait I'd say. Nice job, sir!

  2. A very nice looking Seafire. Well done!

  3. Dale, Very well done. Your finish looks excellent, I like it alot !. As for me, I have trashed a couple kits. Sometimes the model gods just aren't with you !

  4. Those Naval colour schemes are great and really suit the Seafire, you've done a great job with this one.

  5. A real beauty.

  6. Nicely done! I need a 1/72 version of this - don't have a Seafire in the stash...
