June 2, 2016 · in Automotive · · 16 · 3.9K

My third , I filled the exhausts, modified the brake calipers, front forks and a few other things, finished in Tamiya X4, Concept 212 and MM enamels, some of the decals fell apart, Future over all. Ridden by 1986, 1988 runner up and 1987 500cc world champion Wayne Gardner.

  1. Very nice, Allan. Sleek and clean.

  2. Another great rider and a classic bike, I just love the exhausts on these Hondas. Neat build, Allan, you mastered those pesky decals okay.

  3. Those Tamiya bikes are nice, aren't they? You've done this one proud as well.

  4. Another nice bike! I've noticed that these racers kept their bikes too clean for me to want to model - no weathering allowed to hide my fingerprints and other mess-ups!

  5. Great looking bike.

  6. Sold! Now send it to me...
Just so I can have a closer look. I'll send it back... I promise!
OK, just kidding.. Great modeling Alan.

  7. Great build on an iconic bike! I saw an old NSR 125 on the road the other day! Not quite the 500 but I loved them when I was a kid.

  8. Just saw your build by browsing in older posts, Allan @kalamazoo!
You've done a wonderful job! What memories this bike brings!
I just bought a Tamiya Suzuki Katana, I want to build it some day.
They say Tamiya 1/12 bikes are really sweet kits; judging from the kit contents, I can say it is so!

  9. Thank you Spiros, that they are, the newer ones more so ! for a tip on the cabling check out Richard's posts !
