Revell-Monogram Kothoga monster

July 12, 2016 · in Figures · · 5 · 3.6K

Most recent vinyl beastie model completed. This the 1/12th scale 1997 - Pro-Modeler hollow vinyl version of the Mbwun guardian creature of the Kothoga tribe from the book and movie, "Relic". Main colours are all airbrushed Tamiya acrylics, with a gloss coat and wash applied, then wiped off, and Dull Coted. Hand brushed the teeth, fangs, claws and spines with Polly scale dirty white, and Vallejo black and brown inks. Eyes are transparent red over white with Archer Fine Transfer decals for iris and pupil. I have the more recent Pegasus solid vinyl version of this on the work bench, and I think it will be cool to compare the two.
