Monte San Savino 2016
This figure modelling show takes place every year in November in Monte San Savino, Italy.
The show attracts painters from all over Europe. The photos here are courtesy John Keys, who posted nearly 400 images which eventually were shared back through our club’s Facebook page; here’s a small but representative selection.
32 additional images. Click to enlarge.

Kudos to all the folks who can bring these figures to life with a creative brush stroke – I can’t even paint a 48th scale pilot that’s believable. 🙁

Craig, that one of yours (the Monogram pilot-with-clipboard) standing in front of the TBD in blue/gray isn’t bad, a-tall! You even put letters on the clipboard! Swore off the drink that week, huh?

It’s a favorite of mine, don’t tell nobody!

Truly a festival of creativity and skill.

Talk about information over load and not having enough time to see all of this work. Impressive in the quality of craftsmanship and the high quality of painting one could go on and on with the adjectives and still come up short.

I will never be able to paint figures like that. These are epic!
