December 27, 2016 · in Aviation · · 11 · 1.6K

Hello Folks

My latest and last in 2016 completed build. This time Mk.I from in scale.
Pretty nice kit maybe the panel lines a little bit soft and out of scale, but goes together no problem it all.
Decals I used for this kit are from after market supplier Model Maker Decals.
I build my model in markings for N3437 of 307th Polish Night Fighter Squadron "Lwowskich Puchaczy"
Kit manufacture: Airfix 05128
Scale: 1/48
Type: Boulton Paul Defiant Mk.I
Extras used: Yahu Instrument Panel, Eduard EX490 canopy mask, Master gun barrels
Paints and colours used: Tamiya XF-86 Rubber Black, XF-81 Dark Green (RAF), Gunze Dark Earth

  1. Very nice build. The Defiant is definitely an interesting concept. One of my earlier builds was a 1/72 version painted just like yours.

  2. Extremely nice job - ugly air frame in my opinion - but an extremely nice build.

  3. excellent build, I love it !

  4. Sharp! It really stands out in the pics.

  5. Very neat work, and a good looking aeroplane!

  6. Your Defiant looks very convincing. Thanks for sharing this with us.

  7. Simply beautiful Michal. Have just bought this kit; I hope it turns out as nicely as yours. Beautiful pictures too; nice & clear, good colour & sharp as a pin. Thanks for the inspiration.

  8. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder...this kit looks like it belongs on a box top or on the cover of a hard copy magazine. Better yet, it found it's way on the cover of iModeler.com. Nothing short of "Professional" Michal. This what modelers envision/dream/inspire to do when starting a kit.
    Two thumbs up.

  9. Michael, beautiful work and model! I'm hoping for another "also ran", 48th Battle from Airfix, as well.
