I thought the schematic of the P-47 compared to aircraft of similar genre was quite intriguing (as were many of the others here) – I hope you are able to continue the “Friday Briefing” posts – they are the highlight of my day.

Hi Rob. Third photo is South African pilot Albert G Lewis that joined the RAF and fought during the Battle of Britain.

Great selection again. Can anybody give any info on the shrine with all the German WW1 helmets. never seen before.
I looks like the Cat photo was taken in Kodiak!!.

I think the display was in 1918 (post War), possibly in Belgium, as a propaganda exercise.
The German helmet memorial was made of captured German helmets and set up in New York 1918.
As today’s winner a case of beer is on its way to you now.
I thought Belgium but I think I misremembered it; you’re correct.
