Airfix 1/24 spitfire modified

This is a first post and an attempt to show my recently completed Airfix 1/24 Spitfire modified to a mark IX or something that approximately resembles the type. By no means accurate, but an attempt to work for the first time with resin, print some of my own decals and spray some of my own squadron identification and a few other bits. The stubby bits next to the cannons are cut from a 220V European style plug. My son asked why my props never turn, so I added this as well. An amateuristic attempt for sure, but I enjoyed the build.

  5. That looks really nice. Is it really motorized for the prop spin effect?

  6. Nice work, love the spinning prop.

  7. Looks nice. the only discrepancy I see is that you have the cannon bulges in the Mk.V position rather than the Mk.IX position, Don’t take that as a complaint. You’ve done some major work to accomplish this.

  8. Welcome to iModeler and that’s a good looking Spit.
