Rob, this is Hilarious! The “Comparison” chart between the F-35 and the A-10 is wonderful! Believe me, speaking as a (former) tanker, the A-10 is DEFINITELY feared by “The Other Side’s Tankers!!!”
Also, the various shots with Santa & vehicles dressed for Christmas means a lot to me personally. Before I went into the Army I was a “professional” Santa at a shopping Mall here in Indinapolis. After I went into the Army I volunteered to be Santa most Christmas times over the years for various Holiday parties & functions involving the children of our soldiers’ families – and the soldiers themselves – of my units. As Santa, I have ridden in on various tanks and other vehicles, though I never got to come in by any aircraft. I have decorated tanks, Motor pool areas and other things and small areas for Christmas parades and functions. One Christmas, I entered the OP Alpha Border Operations camp near Rasdorf, Germany where we stood ready along the former East/West German Border. It is one of my more pleasant memories of my times in the service.
Thanks, Rob for another great Friday Briefing that is special to this Olde Tanker!
Rob, your Friday collection of pix has become a favorite for me. This weeks selection is perfect. Thanks for the weekly spot of humor…and Merry Christmas!
