1/48 Tamiya P47D RB “Pengie II” Mike Gladych 61st FS, 56th FG
Another personal favourite “Pengie II, decals from the excellent book “56th FG Part 1” by Nigel Julian, Peter Randall and Zbigniew Kolacha.
Ultracast seat and wheels.
Happy Modelling

That is some of the cleanest paInt work I’ve ever seen. I don’t know if the markings are decals or painted on but I certainly can’t see any decal film. Well done sir.

Nigel Julian, the first @#[email protected]!! I put on permanent block on Facebook the first day I went there. What a POS and total putz. I’d believe the Total BSer in the White House about anything before I’d believe Nigel on any of his alleged “expertise.”
Great model, BTW. One could have a whole collection of Mike’s airplanes. He eventually turned his back on all of this and became a psychotherapist, and then a Buddhist Monk.

Wow, that hit a nerve Tom – sounds like a good story that might need some whisky for the telling.
Regarding Mike Gladych, he went from being known as ‘Killer Mike’ to being a Buddhist; crazy even for a Polak (my grandfather was from Warsaw, no insult intended).

I don’t know about the politics, (see above) but you have presented an outstanding P-47, Darren ! I’m with Mark R, the paint work is wonderful and it doesn’t look like decals were used.
Bravo!
