Never been to Dayton, either Jeff (just Pensacola) - and from Daytona Beach, that was a bit of a drive as well.
DID visit Pima a couple times however (the boy lives in Tucson). 🙂
Craig, if you've seen Pensacola then you will have an idea about the quality of the exhibits. VERY nice and extremely well done. I've had a chance to visit a few places like Dayton and Pensacola, and I've enjoyed them all. I've seen the Air and Space Museum that's part of the Smithsonian, the Museum of Science and Industry in Chicago (I LOVED getting to go in the U-505 sub), The USAF and USN museums in Dayton and Pensacola, plus I've been to the Deutsches Museum in Munchen (sorry - I don't know how to make the umlaut that should be over the 'u') - Munich for us English speakers, and the Imperial Museum (that's close to the proper name) in London, as well as the old Museum of Transport in Glasgow.
I sure wish I had photos of all of them I could find now. Several of those visits were so long ago (1960s and 1970s) I have trouble remembering details. I just remember that I loved all of them!
It’s the starboard rear tail section of a twin tail (I think) de Haviland aircraft. It has Air London on the fuselage but that’s all I can make out. Here’s another view. ‘Dan Air’ is also to be seen on the tail assembly.
Oh yeah, I wish I could visit this event in July to come, but I don't think I have the opportunity. I've visited the museum some years ago and it's fantatstic.
I'm only 2-3 hours from the USAF museum, but it has been years since I was there.

Rob it's an Avro York, I googled Dan air and looked at wiki ! I first thought it may be a Lancastrian !
