WIP Hasegawa 1/72 F-16 Falcon CJ with lights

Here’s the latest project – Falcon at night with lights and afterburner. Took whole lotta nerves to solder all those tiny wires, almost threw it all away, but it finally worked. Glueing top and bottom part of the fuselage while trying to prevent all 16 wires to pop out was an olympic discipline. Unfortunately needed material for afterburner is ordered via Ebay, so it could be couple of weeks before I get to finish it.

  1. Stunning craftsmanship, Boris…and in 72nd scale, too. One word: Wow!

    • Thank You Craig, originally it was ment to be 1/48 scale, but Academy F-16 kit was so full of gaps and flaws I abandoned the project and replaced it with 1/72 Hasegawa. In my mind I was working on this project for past two months and so far spent 90% of time on waiting for ordered kits and parts than actually working.

  2. It looks real, Boris!

  3. Great idea, Boris, I can’t wait to see the afterburner pictures.

  4. Great concept and execution – excellent!

  5. Impressive skills! I honestly can’t tell if the headline pic is the model or the real thing!
