A-4M Skyhawk (1:32, Trumpeter)

May 13, 2018 · in Aviation · · 10 · 5.9K

This is special build for my friend and his colection. The kit is avegare quality, big advantage is perfect fitting of all parts and clear instruction sheet, plus there is full buffet of weapons you can put on.

The kit offers also opening of some servicing panels with electronics, guns and you can show the engine too when you add some wires and more details.

Disadvantage - no details in cockpit - I have seen 1:72 kits with more detail in it than here ! This was really bad surprise when I open the kit. Therefore I improved cockpit with scratchbuilt parts and details to achieve more realistic look.

There is also one more thing I would like to point out - fragile decals. They are not able to follow sharp edges or quick moves on the surface - they require really careful placing.

The goal was to build this clear, with no openings and no ordnance, so there is no weathering or improvements I usually do. Despite this it looks very nice and attractive and my friend was really happy to see it.

  5. That's another gorgeous build Martin! I thought I would be satisfied with the single Scooter I have in my collection, but every time I see one of yours, I feel the urge to go out and get another one (or two, or three...).

  6. Nice! Looks great clean.

  7. Lovely work Martin !

  8. I've no idea what it is in the 'real' world, but in my head this build has a sense of power or 'dynamism'. It's a quality that isn't always present in builds, and I think the poses in the photography help, to make a subject feel alive. For me this project has that quality. Just great.

  9. Hello Martin,
The Scooter always looks nice as a model. The bathtub is so small, that the interior is hard to see anyway. This example has some colorful decals that breaks the grey white scheme. I like it.

  10. VERy nicely done, Martin!
