My new tech in modeling

May 4, 2018 · in Aviation · · 18 · 2.2K

Hello my friends,

This is my first post here...I am Dragan Suzic, and I am from Serbia.
I am presenting you my latest work, it is model kit of -1D from in scale. Aftermarket here that was used was Eduard Exterior,Interior, masks, few Brassin adds like propeler which is for Tamiya kit which is a bit modified for Trumpeter kit, also Eduard provided me all support for additional parts for this build. They are the best!Thank you Eduard!
Paints are Ammo MiG,Valejo,AK. It took me almost two months for this project. I must say that I tried first time “salt” effects on this model, and I like it…The aircraft is presented in the late , near end of WWII, stage.I tried to get dried salt water effect on aircraft surface, like in real conditions where this aircraft could be.

Thank you for watching, comments are welcome.

  1. Welcome to iModeler, Dragan! I like what you did to the weathering, especially the drop tank. Did you paint the national insignia using a template?

  2. Welcome to iModeler Dragon! Your Corsair model is very good. I like the way you weathered the underside. Please, keep posting new models if you can.

  3. Dragan, welcome! Beautifully done!

  4. Welcome to iModeler. Great build and I really like what you accomplished with the "salt-effect". I actually tried it on one airplane and did not get it right. Need to try again sometime soon. The Tamiya 1/32 Corsair is one of the best models on the market. I recently also built one this year and need to build another one. I loved the experience! Here is a few pictures of mine. Looks similar. Keep posting!
