The line of 109s almost looks like it is a post-defeat shot–that the men are Allies not Axis, looking over vanquished foes. Can you shed some more light, Rob?

Love the Lysander in the background of #1, great set all round.

Ooof, maintenance in the desert. I was lucky enough to at least be on hardstand, and occasionally get a hanger spot. Out in the open sucks. The heat in the aircraft was near 130 – 140f most of the time I was there. Then when “winter” came , humidity skyrocketed and all these damn little gnats with big teeth showed up to add to the blowing dirt and sand. And as I say I was at a proper airfield. Hats off to these guys!
