Airfix 1/48 Spitfire Mk.I ‘Dunkirk-Eternal landing’

July 5, 2018 · in Aviation · · 16 · 2.6K

Hello modelers,
This work represents an impressive scene of the movie "Dunkirk".
It is possible to reproduce the precise cockpit well even if it is painted well with no photo-etched parts.
The kits fit very well, but the surface is somewhat empty and the rivets are engraved with rivet rollers.
I used stencils to mark all the markings, including the roundel and the code letter, to reproduce the plane in the movie.
Thank you for your interest and watching.

I put a brass rod into the landing gear to fix the plane to the base.

  7. Can’t agree more. Excellent work. Nice work on the cockpit. I hate working with PE parts myself and you nailed it.

  8. Lovely build, Jonghwan. Great eye for detail and a nice 'feel' of that never ending glide in the movie, you even match the lighting of the scene. Liked.
