My first rusty ship.

August 31, 2018 · in Ships · · 12 · 2K

Hello friends. Just finished this rusty ship. This was something new for me. I have another hobby (leather work) but I love this new adventure. Thanks for looking.

  1. "Rusty" is putting it mildly, Peter...I don't think I'd put in the water, that's for sure. 🙂
Looks like you've put a lot of thought (and work) into it, though. Welcome to the site.

  2. The name of the ship is Tetanus

  3. heck...they don't sink very often...usually just once...fine weathering..fine model

  4. Hey Petar, Very interesting. Did you build the boat too from the plans I see in the pics? Welcome to iModeler.

  8. Nice! Welcome aboard.

  9. It's a wonder it has not fallen apart on your shelf 😉
Well done for your first rusty boat, Petar.

In passing, I have seen many rusty models, but have never seen the modelling of another effect by rust, that is expansion (thickness). One inch of steel can make several inches of rust.

  10. Hello Peter,
    Job well done. Regards, orion.

  11. Now that is a real nice rust bucket. I have so much fun rusting up my models. You must of really enjoyed it!
