  1. Well done indeed, Paul...I'm sure you're client will be duly impressed.

  2. Paul,
Really great build. How was the Trumpeter kit to build? I am putting the finishing touches on a Haswgawa Hellcat and it has anything but a joy.

As always your skill is impressive. Keep building, love seeing your work.

    • Its not a bad kit to build. Very detailed in so many ways. Fit of most parts was decent with no serious complaints. Only had some issues with the engine parts and how it mounted to fuselage and have not figured out why. I think the instructions are misleading on the engine parts resulting in me doing something wrong but just a guess. I did not use any filler, and/or putty b/c main parts are good.

  3. What a beauty! You really have a way with weathering and finishing. And I love that scheme - I'm definitely adding one to my collection - much more visual interest than the USN blue. (though I'll build one of those to...)

  4. A ‘signature Teixeira’ and that is a compliment, Paul.

  5. Paul, it turned out splendid! Photo #3 is stunning. Well done.
Did you airbrushed the exhaust stains or did you used other mediums?

    • This time around I went with airbrushing the exhaust with several variations of black, and dark earth. Thinned a lot, very little paint and built up slowly. Same with gun soot.

  6. Paul, it looks fantastic! I'm not at all surprised that your client like the photos and he will be amazed and VERY pleased when he sees it in person. You are a true artist. Your weathering is absolutely outstanding!

    Bravo!

  7. Paul, This is one well worn looking Hellcat. The weathering and worn paint areas turned out really nice. I also really like the scheme. Overall, well done !

  8. Ridden hard and put away wet, that's one war weary Cat. Looks good Paul.

  9. Wonderful job Paul. This looks great!

  10. Damn good! I really admire when naval weathering is done well as it is here. Great work, you can be very proud of yourself!
