1/72 Tamiya Spitfire Vb Trop
1/72 Tamiya Spitfire Vb Trop. I was going through my stash and found this kit partially built with the cockpit mostly painted. I guess you can say it came from the shelf of doom. I realized I did not have a American Spitfire in my collection so now I do. The model depicts the aircraft flown by Captain Frank Hill of the 309th FS when he was CO at La Senia, Algeria in 1943. The only things added were the internal rear view mirror and some Eduard "Superfabric" seatbelts. Painted with MRP paints and weathered with pastels and silver pencil. Squadron/aircraft codes and personal markings are from Kagero and the roundels were sourced from a Aero Master sheet.
Great job! I would have thought it was a larger scale.
