Mitsubishi A6M2 – Zero; Tamiya, 1/48

October 17, 2018 · in Aviation · · 9 · 4.4K

This plane represents one of the 2nd wave that stroke Pearl Harbour, from the Akagi.
I scribed lots of panel lines and rivets so, at the end, did a heavy weathering to made those work pop.
After a break of almost 30 years, I have lots of old boxes waiting... In this particular case I was afraid of the decals, so I made some masks and used paint 😀
The model is ok but I did some 'improvements' (well...)

  1. You've certainly done a good job with this collection of clearly demonstrating that "just because it's old doesn't mean it isn't good." Great wok on all these models.

  2. Can't go wrong with anything by Tamiya...nice work.

  3. Well, this Zero is a great comeback. One of the best I’ve seen around. Parabéns Manuel

  4. Great job! I give it a Zero rating ... Lol! (Sorry - ten thousand comedians are out of work but I make jokes ... and stoopid puns.)

    Seriously - well done!

  5. Jeff, to us you are a comedy giant! This is a great piece of work, I love it, Manuel.

  6. Very Nice. Love the paint job.
