Stearman P-17 AAF by Revell Germany

November 4, 2018 · in Aviation · · 6 · 1.7K

Typical of Germany kits, good instructions with fairly straight forward parts assembly. A level 5 & 7 hours is what it is. I enjoyed the process & decided to pass on the "rigging" issue. Might revisit it when I get the "right wire" ? All brush painted with Tamiya Acrylics, may do some weathering when some motivation appears.

  1. Looks good, Stu...and I don't blame ya a bit on passing on the rigging (I would've, too). 🙂

  2. Colorful old classic! Looks great.

  3. Very nice. One in the stash and the rigging is holding me back as well. I'll probably bite the bullet and buy some Uschi van Rosten rigging thread - 0.02mm when I reload PayPal

  4. Nice work! I have built one in the all yellow Navy version. I have another to build in the blue and yellow Army colors.
