Reporting live from IPMS in Telford, here is the newest announcement from , fresh from the show floor.

We have been expecting something big and impressive, and the choice of scale does not disappoint 🙂 Having said that, I find the choice of subject both surprising and exciting!

This is the first photo directly from the show floor. We'll post more details of this kit (and other new kit news from the show) during the day. Stay tuned to our Scale Modelworld channel at:

  1. Oh, boy. A 24th scale Hellcat. Did not see that coming. A 1/24 R2800...I can already see that all over magazines and forums.

  2. Another monster kit. Great looking no doubt, but not a “must have” for a lot of people. Still, nice to see some variety in the releases.

  3. Sold! My favorite aircraft of all time. As far as choice of subject, isn't the Hellcat the most successful aircraft in the history of combat aviation (kill to loss ratio)? Trying to remember if the F-15 or Mirage families had better ratios. Regardless, it's way up there at the top of the list.

  4. With wings folded it might just fit on my shelf...

  5. Since I started with Airfix in 1970 (1/72 B-17G), I am glad to see they are tops again.
