Scratch built Bristol Bloodhound missile. Stands 11 inches high. Made from pine. Copied from pictures. Not sure of the scale.

    What is amazing is the look of the completed models - all made of wood ( naturally) but with a very metallic look and feel!
    When you get a minute it would be good to hear about your sanding, finishing, painting process Derek - super work.

    • Hi David,thanks for those kind words.Right I’ll start off with sanding.Corse sanding to get the right shape and any dents and bumps,then a not so corse paper to get rid of the rough feel,and finally wet and dry to get a smooth finish. I don’t use primer I brush paint on the bare wood.Two coats are quite enough.Rivits are spots of glue using a tooth pick. I tried using a wash,but it doesn’t work on wood so Mig powder for weathering.Regards Derek.
