TA-4J Skyhawk of VC-2 NAS Oceana Va. 1975. Hasegawa 1/72
This is Hasegawa’s Blue Angel boxing of the TA-4J Skyhawk, the kit gives you a choice of doing a single seat or the trainer version. I chose to do the dual seat version in the markings of VC-2 [ Fleet Composite Squadron] stationed at NAS Oceana . I modified decals of a single seat bird from an old microscale sheet. I include a photo that I took of the actual aircraft so many moons ago in 1975.

Very handsome! It is always special when your skills allow you to model a bird you have actually seen!

🙂 … Greetings … 🙂 :
OK … now this get’s strange … I just logged in … made my comments to the beauty Aleksander shared with us and now this … thank you Robert , a pure sight for these eyes. Very clean and sharp work. I have always considered the A-4 to be one of a few that always looks good in models. This one is no exception, actually you have made me go thru my memory lane and remember when VC-2 would come by here and join in with VC-8 . They would give us air support while we performed our duties in various OCEANVENTURES … thank you for that.
