Aircraft Museum in Berlin-part 1 – outdoor
This article is part of a series:
Hello friends, I’ve just returned from a weekend trip to Berlin. I took the opportunity and visited the „Militär Historisches Museum“ at the former Berlin airport called „Gatow“. The outdoor area offers a variety of mainly cold war icons from both, east and west. The indoor area shows great exhibition objects from the beginning of aviation as well as contemporary aircraft. I took a lot of pictures, here some shots for you. Enjoy!

Dear Craig, thank you for your comment. Yes and it rained…..but that corresponds well to “Cold War”….

Nice to see.

Dear David, thank you for your comment. Due to that weather we were almost alone there….so: just the aircraft in front of the camera….

Dear Robert, thank you for your reply. That is nutrition for all classic aircraft model builders…..

Nice shots – you couldn’t have gotten me into that ZELL F-104 with a gun held to my head. 🙂

Dear Tom, thank you for your reply. I like that shot, too.

Great pics!
Didn’t know there was such a large collection of superb cold war jets in the aircraft museum in Berlin: one more reason for visiting that city ;).
It’s a pity that “weathering effects” were applied so heavily on these samples…

Thank you, Peter, for your comment. Yes, I recommend a trip to Berlin absolutely! Yes, they are exposed there day and night all over the years……on one side a good example to learn from how sun bleaches…..
