Any landing you can walk away from

Evening all,

Here is my humble first attempt at a vignette. This is the , which due to the simple nature of the kit led me to want to do something else with it. I tried to portray a bird that had been hit but was able to limp back home only to have the gear decide not to come down. Not wanting to get wet or hit the barrier, he was able to snag a wire and belly it in. I wanted to try and add some figures, but it's really hard to find US deck crew in 1/72 for some reason.

Please let me know what you all think and where I went off course.

Cheers,

Mike

  1. Not a bad job for your first try IMO. The only thing that may be "amiss" is the fact that I doubt all four blades would be bent back - once the first one (or two) props hit the deck, they would immediately stop turning - or not. 🙂

  2. Great job Mike , really atmospheric, I like the bullet holes and leaking coolant.

  3. Very nicely done, Michael ! It's a great 1st effort !

  4. Great job! Fujimi had flight deck crew kit in 1/72 awhile back.
