Acedemy 1/350 Bismarck

Well I’m back and I just finished my academy 1/350 scale German battleship Bismarck. It measures at about two and a half feet (28in – 72cm) and took about 6 month to finish (on and off). Some of the pros and cons were:

1. Great size.
2. Easy to follow instructions.
3. Great detail. (Except for the decking)
4. Excellent fun factor.
1. Below average fit.
2. Poor decking detail.
3. (Might just be mine) vame with broken and deformed pieces.

Now the fit was bad but it was a little harder for me bevause I accidentally melted the bottom of the bridge and had to rebuild it by scratch. (Also, the guns did not come drilled out, I added those.) Overall very fun and enjoyable kit, would do it again and would recommend it to build. Hope everyone enjoys. -Noah

  4. I have very big respect for all ship-maker (cause of rigging). This time is no different. Congrats.

  5. Thank you all. And yes rigging was probably the most time consuming thing, and even frustrating at times. 🙂
